Wow Kudos Photographers, Now I lay me down foundation

A wonderful thing many photographers volunteer for Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep, a nonprofit organization that offers to send, at no charge, photographers to capture images of babies who have died or who are unlikely to live more than a few hours or days.

What a beautiful thing I have children and I could not imagine after months of feeling and growing of the new life to be emerged and then not having that moment of first look into eyes, the touch of the head the feel of being able to hold the new life.......

This to me is a wonderful thing as there once was a special someone not to be forgotten, and to be able to share, that time even in the future there once was a child to look forward to to plan dreams around to wonder what he/she might be. Though that is taken away with still births or early infant deaths. This is a wonderful idea and organization to have for parents. Maybe some will not look at the photograph again and will get tucked away for years, but then in the future when your mind starts to wonder there is a place to pick up a photo and see and remember what once was.

Amazing is there hope?

YEA Finally a smart move by Washington maybe there is hope (though I wouldn't hold my breathe) But I applaud them for saying no to this Bail out of the banks!!!! Wonderful

Sure it is gonna be hard for awhile here in the US while the economy fumbles with these banks, but I think we are better in the LONG run with this outcome.

GREAT Washington Glad to see you do something right!!

To be president

I think part of the entering of becoming our president they should have to spend a week with our poverty to live with them, and then the next week with our elderly that cannot afford their medicine and god knows how they will heat their homes this winter, and then a week in our ER rooms, and then another week, with a middle class family with at least 3 children that attend a public school, and lets end out the weeks with a week of person that just lost their job to a china business.............I think this should be mandatory............What do you say McCain and Obama are you in?.......Yea I didn't think so

Just sick to stomach

I mean really what is wrong with our government and handing out this money to the banks..................They will never do right will they!

Just disgusting how our government is anymore

Halloween

I love Halloween. There is something about taking the kids out and meeting neighbors, and each year though you don't see them for the whole year. These neighbors remember you and the kids and wow how they have grown. Such fun
Halloween is a bit different now with all the crackers out there. So now a days we go through the candy make sure our kids won't end up in the hospital. God forbid you put something in the front yard that might offend a passer by.......And don't even get me started on the people that create Halloween items to sell and they get bombarded with hate email because it isn't a "religious" thing to do .......to this people as have said in the past, go mind your own......and maybe follow up on your religion. I was happy to see the history channel has a wonderful write up on Halloween I invite you to go visit and read and learn before you outcast people for having fun and enjoying Halloween.
I am a christian BTW and 100% a "Happy Halloweener" :)
Want to make some cool tombstones for Halloween decoration. Save Styrofoam blocks you get in packaging , you can even go to a furniture store and ask for the Styrofoam they package in.
Take this Styrofoam and a butter knife works best and cut the shape of a tombstone come on its a basic shape you can do it. Now take your finger and press dates, a message or Happy Halloween into the front of the tombstone (Just push in a little pressure with your finger, and make it)
Take grey spray paint and spray it all over nothing special here and there now take black and do the same You don't want a solid coat just hear and there. You will see the effect and keep going until you have the look you want.
Now take some kind of metal you know a coat hanger works great, stick it through the end and about half the way up and leave some so it can go into the ground So yes go and put it in the ground................You can add cobwebs, spiders, bats, hands whatever you want to each tombstone. Have fun with it. Kids love the spooky houses, and you can do it so cheaply. Oh and the old stand by
Take a grocery bag stuff it with newspaper or more bags tie the end. Take a piece of yarn run it through the bag take a sheet put it over the bag. and run the string of yarn through the top. now you can hang a ghost, even can add some cobwebs to that too. Or how about some glow in the dark paint.
And let me tell you kids love Pennies so you don't have to go out and get candy a couple pennies and the kids love it!
Now a days Halloween is for the kids have fun enjoy it the kids do love the dressing up and going to house to house and what a way to escape from our scary little world we have to live with each day!

The bailout

Can someone please tell me to, Why would we bailout banks that fully could not make their business successful and say here is $700 billion go try again! Well hello with our failing economy lets just make it worse, So they can go and fail again with $700 billion, and in a few years we are right back where we are at now, and most likely in worse shape.

Does it mean yes we as Americans are gonna have it hard "again" or should I say "still" because these banks go bankrupt Of course it does, but doesn't it mean letting these banks that failed in the first place move on and do whatever they do after losing millions, and then let the Banks that have been successful absorb all the loans credits, and all left over from these failures. They certainly must be doing something right, right?

Oh wait the US government likes supporting failures, and illegals, and hand out money they don't have , what about the debt of the US...............Hell $700 billion sure could do a lot for the families, that are included in all the loss of jobs to overseas, health care for our seniors, oh heck education now hmm with schools barely making it there is a place to invest some $$$ If the US is gonna go into more debt at least let it be for a respectable reason..................Just another reason the world looks more and more down to the United States...........though should it even be called United its Government and Big business, and then all the people that just live on the land that is called the United States, and struggles each day to make it, maybe one day someone will run for president that might have clue what is going on with the everyday American. (and it certainly isn't gonna be this election)
Just call us Slaves of the Government and Big Business.

Speaking of life in general

Does the social world anymore suck?

I mean I grew up I am not to old but not to young either. But we respected our elders, we respected ourselves. We wouldn't just say what popped into our head, when there was adults around.........

So today you can walk into a school and by the time you get down a hall you have heard 20 different cuss words, probably learned a new sexual position, and found out you could pierce things you never thought of piercing........You found out Green and blue are colors of choice for hair, and the smaller the shirt the better. Do teenage girls even know what a bra is? and why do boys have to have their boxers hanging out?

I once wondered and thought about being a teacher. I so feel for many of the teachers now a days. (Excluding the ones that think it okay to have sex with our kids Boy what a teaching lesson in that and whole new post that will be)

I can't imagine my HS teacher I had and looked up to, how he even deals and reacts to kids today.........

So who is to blame? Parents? Government? Society ? Religion? TV? Or maybe its all maybe our Society as a whole has blame to share.............When did society become so lazy that we won't even teach our kids self respect, about the future they can have? instead we all look away and roll our eyes I do it I admit but maybe instead of making it a once and awhile random thought to help mentor a child maybe make a go of it? Maybe our futures might be brighter?

When you are walking down the street?

And you notice an elderly person needing help, Do you?

When you see a child getting hurt, do you intervene?

When you are on your last dollar till tomorrow when its pay day, do you give your last dollar to the homeless on the street?

When parents call and you are busy, do you take the time to talk even if its long enough to ask how they are doing, and tell them you love them?

When your friend is doing it and you know its wrong, do you follow?

How often do you say thank you for the life you have even though you may be struggling? Honestly couldn't it be worse?

A now work in progress

Have you smiled today or has it been a crappy day.
